A charity which provides free legal advice and representation to refugees and asylum-seekers seeking safety in the UK from persecution. Also campaign for the fair treatment of refugees in the UK.

Bail for Immigration Detainees
Providers a free dedicated bail service for detained asylum seekers and migrants.

Black UK Online
Provides a blend of local, national, and international news, lifestyle, views, reviews, profiles and entertainment. The site aims to 'widen thought-provoking editorial beyond the black experience and to reflect more fully, the multicultural Britain that we live in today.

CAB (Citizen Advice Bureau)
The Citizen Advice Bureau (CAB) gives information and advice to people of all ages and on all topics, including benefits and housing. Advisers can help fill in forms, write letters, negotiate about debts (including rent, mortgages or council tax arrears) and represent people at court or tribunal.

Child Poverty Action Group
Details of all CPAG's activities including campaigns, publications and training. Also includes selected features from the Welfare Rights Bulletin and copies of briefings.

Community Legal Service (CLS) Directory
The CLS Directory lists organisations in the CLS network. The Directory is very useful when is signposting and making referrals. The Directory is also accessible on the community legal service web-site. There are currently 13 directories, covering England and Wales. There is also a community legal Service Helpline. The Helpline can inform clients where their Nearest appropriate advice centre is

EIN aims to link major information providers, advice workers and practitioners dealing with immigration, refugee and nationality law and practice in the United Kingdom.

Equal Opportunities Commission
The Equal Opportunities Commission works for a society that guarantees equality for women and men. The website provides advice for individuals and advice workers about their rights relating to equal pay and sex discrimination in employment, education and consumer affairs.

Homelessness in the UK
Resource Information Service provide practical information, legislation, discussion and statistics on homelessness, plus London advice agencies.

Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants
JCWI provides free advice and casework, training courses, and a range of publications including the Immigration, Nationality and Refugee Law handbook and Immigration factsheets.

London Advice Services Alliance (Lasa)
